This program is intended to assist and guide caregivers through the process of considering residential care placement for a loved one with dementia and to help caregivers make an informed decision. The Division of Injury Prevention under HHS manages the Mental Health program, which aims to train adults in Mental Health First Aid which will help reduce the negative stigmas of mental health. Participants will learn how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges and will learn how to provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge or experiencing a crisis.
