Rev. Lawrence T. Rivers holds a Black Belt in Taekwondo and is certified in (Taoist) Tai Chi.
The goal of this instruction is to build the body’s physical and spiritual health through the method of Tai Chi, healing the Mind Body and Soul.

The Division of Community Health & Wellness has partnered with Project BEST: “Better Eye-Health Services and Treatment” to bring free eye screenings and health education to the community. Instructor Helen Clark Ziangas has worked with Jersey City Seniors for many years.
The class begins with an aerobic dance section for cardiovascular health, and then we have a seated strengthening section (with hand weights) ending with balance and stretching.
