HealthierJC and our partners remain committed to working together to address community health challenges and priorities throughout Jersey City. Since the pandemic, Healthier JC and the Jersey City Department of Health & Human Services have awarded more than $1,500,000 in mini-grants to fund local initiatives that help build a more robust and sustainable Culture of Health. Smoke Free Housing for a HealthierJC
The mandate for all Federally Funded Housing Developments to be smoke free is nearing its deadline. The mandate goes into effect on July 31, 2018. Most Federal, State and Local offices have already implemented smoke free policies, as well as, eliminating designated smoking areas.
