Natalie Limon, a Community Fellow at the Center for Immigrant Representation will talk about her experience volunteering with the organization Al Otro Lado in Tijuana, Mexico, on behalf of the Immigrant Justice Corps (IJC). She will describe the how the US Customs & Border Patrol and Mexican Immigration officials are handling thousands of people seeking asylum in the U.S.
A 5-week healthy living series of "kickstart" seminars designed for freshmen and sophomores in high school with instruction about time management, interpersonal relationship skills, study skills and setting yourself up well for the future.
The Food Service Training Academy is a 15-week free job training program to provide aspiring chefs with the skills they need to succeed. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive entry-level certifications and will be provided with job placement assistance. Transportation assistance is available for students who qualify.
