JC Division of Community Health and Wellness with the partnership of Alliance is having health screenings such as blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol as well as helpful health related information. There will also be a Flu Workshop! This will only be provided to the residents of Unico Towers.
This 3-hour workshop will address issues of alcohol and drug use in South Asians. Presenters will discuss the impact of substance use on families, individuals, and communities and how stigma and shame keep people from seeking help. Personal stories of lived experiences will also be presented. Resources will be shared with the attendees.
