Sustainable Jersey City is a catalyst organization whose mission is to educate, empower and activate community stakeholders, to make Jersey City NJ a more sustainable and resilient place to live and work.

Our vision is for Jersey City to become the greenest, most sustainable and resilient city in New Jersey, with community stakeholders that are educated about and committed to environmental, economic and social justice.

What does building a Culture of Health mean to Sustainable Jersey City as an organization?

For SJC building a Culture of Health is an evocation for physical, mental and emotional well being to thrive at the personal level, and while we advocate for economic, social and environmental sustainability goals for our neighborhoods and Jersey City as a whole, it is really a very personal, cultural conversation when we talk about quality of life issues related to sustainable communities.
