What services do we provide?

Located in Jersey City's historic downtown area, St. Matthew's Food Panty provides a variety of food, including but not limited to fruits and vegetables, canned food, grains, meat, frozen food, and dairy. Volunteers put out whatever food we have in small crates and let our constituents choose what they need.

What does building a Culture of Health mean to St Matthew's Lutheran Church as an organization?

We all need nutritious food for our wellness, and we are all better off when we are all fed. The Food Pantry builds a culture of health in Jersey City by inviting the community to participate in providing food for those who need food assistance. Hence we work with volunteers, local stores, and other partners to provide food.
