PERC Shelter provides Emergency Shelter to 141 homeless consumers each night of the year through it's 61 licensed shelter beds and an "overflow" program that operates in the cafeteria serving an additional 80 consumers. PERC is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and provides lunch, dinner, and snacks, access to shower/laundry facilities, clothing, toiletries, case management linking consumers to mainstream resources, medical/mental health, job placement assistance, and housing.
For PERC Shelter, building a culture of health involves education and leading by example that includes Employee Health: the treatment of our staff and ensure a safe working environment; Consumer Health: providing health education and ensure a safe environment; Community Health: health and safety efforts of the larger community that consumers are from Environmental Health: impact of operations on the environment
