What services do we provide?
The American Cancer Society offers support in the community and online to help residents during and after cancer treatment. Our National Cancer Information Center offers help to patients dealing with cancer by connecting them to our caring, trained staff to answer questions about diagnosis, identify resources and provide a listening ear and guidance. We can provide places to stay during treatment, free rides to treatment, patient navigation as well as local support program recommendations.
What does building a Culture of Health mean to American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Jersey City as an organization?
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer initiative unites communities to honor those touched by the disease and raise awareness and funds for a world without breast cancer. In the past 7 years alone, the Making Strides initiative in Jersey City has raised nearly $2 million to help save lives from breast cancer. Building a culture of health means bringing light to the resources available to those going through their cancer journey as well as ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle
