What services do we provide?
Welcome Home Jersey City is a 501(c)(3) community-based non-profit organization supporting refugees, asylees, and asylum-seekers in Jersey City. We welcome our clients (who we call our friends) by helping them secure food, housing, educational, employment, and material support as well as emotional and community support.
What does building a Culture of Health mean to Welcome Home Jersey City as an organization?
Building a Culture of Health in JC means that we assist our migrant friends in applying for NJ Family Care and/or referring them to clinics such as FQHC's. As our migrant friends gain independence and autonomy here, it is also critical for them to know how to access city-based resources such as the City Clinic for uninsured kids, the Division of Immigrant Affairs, public schools, public libraries, etc.
