About Our Partnership with

What services do we provide?

Washington Park is a 100-year-old, 22-acre park in Hudson County between Union City and Jersey City. Washington Park Association of Hudson County, Inc. (WPA) was founded in 2008 by a group of residents in the vicinity of the Park. The goal was to create opportunities for positive change in the Park which in turn would improve the surrounding neighborhoods and create a stronger sense of place for area residents.

What does building a Culture of Health mean to Washington Park Association of Hudson County as an organization?

The WPA believes building a culture of health in Jersey City should be focused around using our parks in as many different ways as we can. Not only are parks perfect for organized recreational sports, but they are also great for farmers markets, self-guided exercise activities, gardening, arts and music programing.
