What services do we provide?

The VFW provides resources for veterans and their families. Our Feed the Vets program reaches out to Jersey City Military Veterans, friends and family members. VFW Post 2294 provides hot meals, a place to sit with fellow Veterans, enjoy the camaraderie, gather valuable information on benefits from materials presented or from a guest speaker. In addition, VFW Post 2294 holds an annual Appreciation Day to honor those who have assisted Veterans.

Jersey City is a vibrant, mix of people from all over the world, That fact has enabled the title of "Most Diverse" to be placed on it for a few years running. Almost everyone has had a close or extended family who has served in the armed forces. Nearly every immigrant has arrived from a nation that has reaped from the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. To know that they have assistance from the VFW and the City to help them maintain a healthy profile is a benefit to all.
