About the partner
The Sgt. Anthony Park Neighborhood Association is dedicated to improving the Park and the surrounding neighborhood so that children and adults have a clean, safe place to live, gather and play. We manage the Park and community by working with the City on issues like street cleanliness, local development, tree planting and traffic management. We also are home to a Community Garden with a managed flower garden and community plots for vegetables. We provide yoga in the park during summer months.
Perspective on Health Equity
We aim to provide a greener, safer & healthier outdoor spaces to fill an acute need for our dense urban community by restoring the facilities in and around the park, planting trees and lobbying for improved access the park. Renewing the playground equipment and basketball court so that everyone has a place to exercise and play is a priority, and we are encouraging healthier eating by revitalizing the community garden and offering composting facilities to help reduce our ecological footprints.
