What services do we provide?
Riverview Community Garden provides gardening opportunities and activities to citizens of all ages since 1995. Our programs include: Community Food Share—providing fresh organic vegetables free to the public; Green Ambassadors / 4-H Urban Farm Club—inviting city kids to grow food and become garden stewards; Community Composting—offering food scrap drop off to reduce waste to landfills; Beekeeping—maintaining hives of bees to pollinate trees and plants and produce local honey.
What does building a Culture of Health mean to Riverview Community Garden as an organization?
Building a culture of health starts from the ground up—by creating good soil to grow healthy plants and healthy people. Riverview Community garden aims to educate the community in organic practices, by engaging youth and offering access to fresh organic produce. Our mission is to give all citizens of Jersey City a beautiful place to reflect, meditate, relieve stress, and to build a relationship with nature.
