About Our Partnership with

What services do we provide?

We provide public programs, kayaking programs, and educational opportunities including partnerships with local schools and Scout groups. Our programs are often environmentally or historically centered but also include art and cultural programs. We try to provide access to the public to the site primarily on Sundays and other times that the City staff are unable to open the site.

What does building a Culture of Health mean to Jersey City Reservoir Preservation Alliance as an organization?

Our mission includes promoting educational and recreational opportunities at the Reservoir. The Reservoir was originally a site that provided water to residents in Jersey City. As such it has a history directly related to public health. The site is now a wild, natural green space, which are proven to greatly benefit one's physical and mental health. We hope to foster a Culture of Health among Jersey City residents that emphasizes respect and empathy for our natural resources.
