About Our Partnership with

What services do we provide?

Our office conducts inspection in all food and non-food establishments that are licensed through our Licensing Bureau. In addition, we also inspect schools, summer food programs, public recreational bathing facilities & youth camps. We also investigate any food and non-food complaints and we conduct public health nuisance investigation at residential buildings that have health issues such as raw sewage, rodents, roaches, bed bugs, hoarding conditions and unsanitary premises and empty lots.

What does building a Culture of Health mean to Jersey City Department of Health & Human Services as an organization?

“Our main goal is to educate constituents on preventing health nuisances in their properties or dwellings in which they reside. As we go about inspecting premises and properties for complaints related to health nuisances we educate and advice them on how to prevent the problem to arise again. A healthier and non-public health nuisance Jersey City makes a better living for everyone.”
