About Our Partnership with

What services do we provide?

The Bureau of Healthy Homes/Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP) provides a variety of resources to help educate their patients on the dangers of lead and other hazards, by providing lead screening, case management and environmental intervention to children who are lead burdened. Lead screening is provided for children 9 months thru 17 years who are uninsured or underinsured; since lead is everywhere in the environment, lead poisoning will continue to harm our children.

What does building a Culture of Health mean to Jersey City Department of Health & Human Services as an organization?

"The greatest gift for Jersey City's youth is to teach the value of healthy living. With that knowledge, the legacy of healthy living is established in Jersey City." - Charles Mays Jr., Bureau Chief, Bureau of Healthy Homes
