The Division of Injury Prevention works to reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths in Jersey City. We work with partners to implement, promote, and evaluate strategies and programs such as:

What does building a Culture of Health mean to Jersey City Dept. of Health & Human Services as an organization?

Providing equitable access to residents of a diverse city, where various health initiatives and programs are offered to promote healthier ways of living for the sustainability of living peacefully and preventing injury and violence within the community.

The Health Outreach Bus Service is designed to provide critical health services such as: (showers, laundry, and Health Outreach) to at risk homeless residents of Jersey City, especially those who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
